Photography is what brought us together, and it didn’t take long for conversations about camera brands and travel to turn into conversations about how we both love teaching other photographers. And then before we knew it, we were planning our first workshop.
While we come from different backgrounds in photography, we've always shared the same love for travel, adventure, and looking for places that make you feel something. Frank has built one of the St. Louis area's leading real estate photography companies while earning recognition for his landscape and astrophotography work, including publications by NASA, the BBC, and other national and international outlets. Anna is the owner of Anna Feeney Photography, where she's built a successful business photographing families, weddings, couples, newborns, and seniors with a passion for storytelling, composition, and creating images that feel authentic. Together, we bring a balance of technical expertise, creative vision, and real-world business experience to every workshop. You won’t just leave Colorado learning how to take an image, but you’ll also leave knowing why you took it.
When we scouted Colorado for our first workshop, we definitely kept things interesting. We made just about every wrong turn possible, got absolutely drenched on a mountain hike, stopped what felt like every five minutes for a composition or drone shot, and somehow managed to eat our way through Telluride and Ouray between sunrise and sunset shoots. It reminded us that some of the best moments happen when you aren't rushing to the next location, and that's the pace we want our workshops to have.
This experience in Colorado won’t be about chasing Instagram photos or copying our editing styles. It will be about about learning how to see differently, slow down, and make images that actually mean something to you.
We won’t be standing in one spot and copying each other’s settings. You will learn to see light differently, slow down, ask questions, try new things, and leave with skills you can take home after the trip is over. Whether you've been shooting for ten years or just bought your first camera, we want you to leave inspired, more confident, and excited to create again.
Meet frank
Frank Kuszaj is the owner of one of St. Louis’s leading real-estate media companies, Frankly Living Real Estate, and is also a professional landscape and astrophotographer.
His work has been featured by NASA, the BBC, and other international outlets. Over the years, photography has taken him across the country and around the world. He has photographed in places like in Arizona, Utah, California, Colorado, all the way to Iceland, Costa Rica and the list goes on. Every location has shaped the way he approaches light, composition, and execution in his landscape work.
With years of experience both in the field and running his real-estate photography business, Frank brings a unique combination of technical knowledge, efficiency, and creativity. Whether it's reading changing weather, navigating a trail, finding the strongest composition, or perfecting camera settings, he's passionate about helping photographers understand not just what to do, but why it works.
More than anything, Frank loves sharing what he's learned with other photographers. He believes the best workshops are hands-on and filled with those lightbulb moments that leave photographers feeling inspired long after they head home.
On a workshop, you'll usually find him checking weather forecasts, launching the drone, standing knee deep in a mountain stream, or helping someone finally understand that camera setting they've been fighting for months.
Anna Feeney is a portrait, storytelling, and creative photographer based in St. Louis and the owner of Anna Feeney Photography.
Over the years, she's photographed families, seniors, weddings, couples, newborns, and boudoir clients, building a career around creating images that feel as meaningful as they are beautiful.
While landscape photography may not be where she built her business, the foundations of photography don't change. Light is still light. Composition is still composition. Color, emotion, balance, storytelling, editing, and knowing how to make an image feel intentional are skills that carry across every kind of photography.
Anna loves helping photographers trust their eye, bend the rules of composition, simplify the editing process, and build confidence in their creative decisions. She also brings years of experience mentoring photographers, teaching workshops, and creating an environment where people feel comfortable asking questions, experimenting, and excited to keep creating long after the workshop is over.
She's still remembers what it's like to be learning the basics. She knows how intimidating workshops can feel, how easy it is to compare yourself to everyone else, and how much faster people grow when they feel comfortable asking questions. Creating that kind of environment is just as important to her as teaching photography itself.
On a workshop, you'll usually find Anna climbing a little higher to see if the composition gets better, disappearing into the woods for fifteen minutes because she "saw something,” or squatting down trying to focus on a sunset between some fence posts. She will be reminding everyone to stop, slow down, and really look before pressing the shutter.
